(Nasdaq:CLFD – formerly APA Cables & Networks), a leader in fiber management solutions, is announcing the FieldSmart Fiber Delivery Point (FDP) Wall Mount Panel (FDP Indoor Wall Mount Panel) | (FDP Outdoor Wall Mount Panel), a new component in the FieldSmart Fiber Management Platform.
The FieldSmart FDP Wall Mount Panel provides 12 to 24 ports of fiber management access and protection. Designs for both the outside plant as well as business-class environments are on display at the FTTH Show being held in Nashville this week. The product is shipping.
With Clearfield’s Clearview Cassette at its heart, the FDP Wall Mount Panel provides service providers plug & play integration based upon the configuration requirements of the application. The FDP Wall Mount Panel supports all cable construction types for both Patch Only and Patch & Splice deployments. All industry standard connector styles are available.
Designs for OSP and MDU Deployments
The FieldSmart FDP Wall Mount Panel (OSP) is designed for the harsh environmental conditions of the outside plant. For ease of integration, the Wall Mount Panel (OSP) ships with a field-deployed “knock-out” that allows for conduit entry while maintaining Nema 4 performance. The FieldSmart FDP Wall Mount Panel (Inside) is ideal for business-class and MDU environments. The FieldSmart FDP Wall Mount Panel (Inside) is ring-cut capable, supporting feeder and distribution cables through the riser. Both versions provide a swinging bulkhead that supports and protects sub-unit slack storage.

The Clearview Cassette is the building block of every FieldSmart product, including the full line of central office panels and frames within the FieldSmart Fiber Distribution System as well as the Fiber Scalability Center line of PON and Cross-Connect cabinets.
The Clearview Cassette ensures that all the basic principals of fiber management are satisfied without exposure to environmental hazards or human interaction. Integrated cassette components fully nest into the cassette main housing to support any application or fiber type desired. Within the cassette, all fibers from the sub-assembly are slack stored, bend radius protected, and secured against accidental physical damage from handling. Designed to handle the toughest operating environments, the Clearview Cassette provides flexibility and reliable performance in the central office and in the field.
The Clearview Cassette utilizes a clear outer housing allowing for quick and easy first-step troubleshooting of unacceptable light conditions. Tool-less snap-together nesting covers and a removable 12-pack adapter plate allow for easy access to terminated sub assemblies for maintenance and cleaning.
