Drop Cable Assemblies

Your customers deserve the same quality of connection as the central office and the OSP. Clearfield has you covered here, too. Our fiber drop cable assemblies are designed to connect the fiber access point (handhole, pedestal or aerial) to the ONT on the home in a FTTH network.

You might consider using a hardened fiber optic connector (HFOC), a pre-terminated cable using a traditional connector, or a ruggedized patchcord and pigtail to splice to the drop cable. How you connect or splice at the access and premise points will depend on the requirements of each site.

• Flat drop cable construction can be pulled through conduit, direct buried, or aerially lashed
• All-dielectric construction allows deployment near power lines on utility poles
• For splicing pigtails to drop cable applications, jacket material uses rugged construction to remain flexible and resist sagging at all temperatures
