After the FieldShield two fiber cable is pushed or pulled through the FieldShield Microduct, the Hardened Connector Housing and LC Duplex Pushable connector are assembled on the pre-terminated end. The Hardened Bulkhead adapter is installed and provides a two fiber distribution point for future deployment. From there, a dual cable FieldShield Hardened Connector can be installed using one or two separate single fiber FieldShield simplex LC cables to deploy drops. The FieldShield Y-Adapter method allows the provider to bring a two fiber pre-terminated sealed housing to a dedicated location that can be stored below grade and ready for future deployment when the customers are to be hooked up.
Designed to simplify FTTH installations, the FieldShield Hardened Pushable Connector Y-Adapter provides the components to split a FieldShield Dual LC drop cable into two simplex LC drop cables, while extending the service access point to the customer lot line. Deployable in two stages, the Bulkhead Adapter Kit provides a LC adapter in a small re-enterable bulkhead, which can be direct buried or deployed in an OSP access enclosure of choice. When customer service is required, the Service Turn-Up Kit accepts up to two LC drop cables which can be depoyed independently.
